Why Access Counselling?
Taking the step to reach out for support can be overwhelming, but by visiting my page or those of other therapists, you have made a courageous step. Life can present us with many challenges and at times, sharing these with a therapist, who is trained to support you in a way that family and friends cannot, can be empowering.
Sharing your thoughts, feelings and experiences in a space that is confidential, safe , non-judgmental and supportive can help you get a better perspective on you and your situation.
I am not here to advise you, but to support you in understanding what is happening for you and why. I will be at your side whilst you learn who you are, why you are and who you want to be.
Psychodynamic Approach to Counselling
I am trained to work in a psychodynamic way which means I will support you to explore your prior experiences and how they may be impacting on you in the here and now. I will support you to understand what influences your thoughts, feelings, emotions and behaviours so that you can make informed choices about the future you.
Why Dragonfly Counselling?
In almost all parts of the world, the Dragonfly symbolises change and understanding of self. These changes represents psychological and emotional maturity and as such, symbolises the inner growth that I want for my clients.
